AmSoft Systems is Deutsche Telekom's chosen technology partner for designing and implementing its Adaptive Content Delivery Services Platform. Current network estimates establish that only 10% of the content is responsible for 90% of the traffic and this 10% "hot" content is unpredictable and sometimes changes several times during a day. Today's content delivery strategies, that rely on static hierarchical distribution & request resolution matrix and involve 'pushing' all content to the 'Edges' of the network, have proved inadequate. AmSoft is helping Deutsche Telekom adapt dynamically to changing demand & traffic patterns by establishing an adaptive, demand-driven, fully scalable and dynamically manageable content delivery services platform.
The platform enables new routing algorithms & services that will handle the 'unpredictability' associated with 'hot' content by building content-intelligence in the CDN network, identifying 'demand build-up' points & dynamically establishing virtual mesh topologies for content caching, and adapting content routing and client redirection strategies to meet these dynamic conditions.
