Pinnacle Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of cutting-edge digital media solutions for use at home, in the studio, and on air to the broadcasters and consumers.

Pinnacle entrusted AmSoft systems with the task of designing and developing a Unified Media Browser that presented a unified front-end for media browsing, management, archival and search interface to all Pinnacle Systems products. The desktop versions of the software already provided these functionalities individually for each of Pinnacles products. However, the Unified Media Browser enabled customer using multiple softwares from Pinnacle to seamlessly browse and search on all the metadata across all the media stores. For this, the interface was developed as a reusable framework that could be interoperated with the entire product range of the media editors and storage software products from Pinnacle.

The key benefit of Unified Media Browser was that it provided the user with a single web based interface for managing media content associated with diverse Pinnacle products. Amsoft abstracted the common functions related to media management from various desktop interfaces across the product range into this web-based solution. The unified framework was developed a thin client with the ability to embed it into a thick client as a plug-in too.
