PROJECT REFERAL
AmSoft Systems designed and implemented a workflow system for Credit Suisse in Switzerland. The aim of the project was to ascertain the internal & external workflows associated with web publishing and maintenance of the various Credit Suisse web-sites. Next, a solution for putting these workflows in place and automating the publishing process was established. It was based on Vignette V/5 content management system that allowed Content Acquisition, Normalisation, Meta Data, Targeting and Presentation of multi-source, multi-format content.
The solution objectives were:
-
Data structuring, archiving and publishing.
- Provide marketing information through product showcases.
- Establishing publishing workflows & processes.
AmSoft developed the infrastructure on which all the internal & external content producers could collaboratively publish all types of content. The users were assigned read, write, edit, delete rights based on the assigned roles and responsibilities in the publishing process. A workflow for approval of editorial content according to the defined Credit Suisse processes was setup. Each content element produced could be either put through this workflow, or overridden by an authorized manager; archived; scheduled for release at a particular time through release management module. Version control allowed Archived or Expired items to be found and to recreate future or past scenarios accurately and easily.
AmSoft delivered the solution in less than six months. Following a rigorously tested and industry accepted methodology, AmSoft's team of solution architect and program manager proposed a solution framework separating content from presentation using the Cocoon framework with XSL templates for each presentation type.
Our solution implemented the workflows and processes involved with Content Management and Version Control with Role based interfaces that resulted in a smooth deployment with little retraining.
