AmSoft
Systems, along with Siemens, implemented a new economy
paradigm - virtual communities based online banking
solution based for Bank Austria, the largest bank in
Austria. Bank Austria recognized that online banking
solutions and catalogs are necessary but not sufficient
to effectively engage existing customers or to attract
new ones. AmSoft helped Bank Austria overcome this impediment
by designing and authoring a banking solution based
around communities, themes and targeted content that
leverages the power of networking.
The solution objectives were:
- Improved customer satisfaction by providing community
based services along with online banking solution
- Efficient Product promotion through targeting based
on taxonomy matching
- Personalized content and services achieved through
profile based personalization
The virtual-communities based banking solution centered
on profiling the customers and allowing them to be part
of one or more pre-defined communities. The segmentation
of customers into communities helped Bank Austria target
their products at the community level and further to
individual customers based on their profile. A sophisticated
matching engine based both on taxonomy matching and
rules (business as well as individual customer rules)
provided efficient targeting of themed content. To create
a more fulfilling and engaging experience for customers,
additional services like discussion groups, stock quotes,
virtual banking agents and 3-D VRML based chat were
also incorporated.
AmSoft partnered with Siemens SBC to deliver an end-to-end
solution from needs analysis to architect the implementation.
AmSoft program managed the customer interfaces, test
and QA agency at Bank Austria while Siemens worked with
the creative design agency and the deployment team.
