OVERVIEW

Unified Presence is an end-to-end platform that innovatively uses the concept of Presence and Identity to provide a feature rich service to store, share, access, use, and synchronize the address book on a mobile. Users can control sharing (set up contracts) and identifier synchronization with peers and groups to the detail of individual attribute. The platform provides user interfaces on the mobile as well as from the web to manage own profile, peers, groups, and contracts with each entity.

Unified Presence provides the subscriber with the ability to discover presence and state information of other identities with which the principal (subscriber) has established relationships vis Identity contracts. Through the interface on the handset the subcriber can initiate contact with any of the available identities on any channel. However, at the other end a subscriber (receiver) can control her state of presence for various groups. Additionally the platform enables true convergence by automatically synchronizing all the identifiers using a network address book.

The interface also allows the users to customize how their presence, availability and state information is displayed to other entities/groups on the converged network.
