OVERVIEW
Today the basic state of a phone is on or off. This is not reflective of the
true state of the user that the user might wish to communicate. State aware
telephony places users in control what state information they want to expose
and to whom.
This application provides interfaces for subscribers to define their states
that the network is aware of. These states like meeting, weekend, after-work
etc. allow the subscribers to define what treatment to meet to calls on a per
caller or caller group/domain basis. These permissions are defined as Identity
contracts. An identity contract allows a user to define who can reach him/her
in what state.
