OVERVIEW

ProActor is a flexible, reusable solution that is capable of high-performance and ProActor has an Event Listener Gateway. This may be a general Event Listener, which accepts pushed Events, or it may be composed of one or many Event Trappers, which pull events from the system(s) being monitored. The Event XML-izer normalizes the published event into an XML document, based on its DTD. The Event Matcher then matches the subscribers and once the event subscribers are known, the Rules Engine exposes the event to the subscriber's conditions -- the rules set by the subscriber to determine what action should be taken such as sending a notification or invoking a system process. The Notifications Enhancer then adds the information about the subscribers' profile (delivery preferences and calendar lookup) to the notification message.

Finally the Notifications Presentation Service processes the enhanced XML message by applying the appropriate XSL and XFO to the message, depending on the subscribers' delivery preference to convert it into the format that the specific Delivery Gateway can understand and deliver to the subscriber. speedy delivery. It can be integrated into any business / system environment for listening to configured events and notifying interested subscribers about it.

ProActor enables real-time monitoring, flexible notification, efficient resolution and exception tracking of DW, DSS, ETL, Messaging and Web events. It provides an easyto- use Subscriber Interface for subscribers to register and create personalized rules using a Rules Wizard. It also allows the subscribers to profile their notifications delivery preferences and action authorization mechanisms.

For events that require resolution, ProActor may be coupled with Issue Tracking System to provide the ability to track, resolve and manage the knowledge gained from the resolution for future use.

KEY FEATURES

Subscriptions - enabling the subscribers to select their topics of interest (e.g. Sales made, Inventory falling below threshold, etc.), define the condition (pattern) to filter events and specify the delivery mechanism for notifications. Event Monitoring, Matching and Notification Delivery - interfacing with various event sources (e.g. ETL Processes, ERP Systems, Messaging, Stock news, etc.), detecting and generating an event; matching these events with subscriptions and delivering the notification from publishers to subscribers, based on subscriber preferences. Tracking and Collaborative Action - allows a group action to be taken on an issue or problem or allows assignment to another person. It also tracks the issue to its closure and maintains data for historical and data mining reasons.
